The table above is the state of the built site on 8 Nov 2026. The 3-minute stress clip (720p, 90 shots) completed in 21.6 seconds; a 190-second clip was rejected with the 3-minute message; the same 6-shot demo ran in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit. Real-device Safari and a 300 MB / 4K file are still on the list — this page will be updated when they are tested.

Known limitations

  • No AI/live verdict. The workbench measures pixels and rhythm. It does not certify how a shot was made.
  • No metadata, OCR, C2PA or stems. Those live in the rea-video CLI.
  • Cut accuracy is about ±0.1s. It is not a frame-exact conform or an EDL.
  • Motion is estimated. Projection correlation separates static, pan, tilt and handheld; it does not recover a full camera path or a zoom.
  • BPM is estimated. Silence or free-tempo music yields no useful beat grid.
  • Codec support varies. H.264 MP4 and WebM are the safe formats; HEVC depends on the browser and OS.
  • 3 minutes / 300 MB / 120 shots. Longer or larger files belong in the CLI.
  • Prompts are scaffolds. They combine measurements with your brief; they do not understand the subject.

Corrections

If a measurement is wrong, a page overstates a claim, or a fact about the open-source project is out of date, send the clip or the URL to hello@reavideo.video. Corrections that change a published claim will be noted here with the date. The demo reel is six AI-generated stills animated with ffmpeg; that disclosure will stay on the page.

Check the workbench.

The best way to judge a measurement tool is to put a clip you know on the table.
